Reconstruction and repairs

The part many mitigation companies hand off. We keep cleanup and rebuilding connected so you are not starting over with a second contractor after the damaged material comes out.

01 · Why this page exists

The handoff is where most people get stuck

A mitigation company can dry your house, remove damaged material, and finish its part while the building is still far from finished. At that point many owners are left finding a general contractor, collecting bids, coordinating trades, and explaining the loss again from the beginning.

Keeping mitigation and reconstruction connected gives the repair team the documentation and context from the loss, while giving you one company to coordinate the sequence from damaged assembly to finished room.

One company, one repair scope, and one point of contact from mitigation through the rebuild.

02 · Three reconstruction paths

Not every rebuild starts the same way

After our mitigation

We already have the drying documentation, removal scope, and affected area context, so the project can move directly into repair planning once the structure is ready.

After another mitigation company

We can evaluate the remaining reconstruction scope as a standalone job. Existing documentation is useful, but the rebuild does not require us to have performed the original mitigation.

Owner-selected upgrades

When an affected room is already open, you may choose upgrades or layout changes. Those are priced separately so repair work and elective improvements do not get blurred together.

How the rebuild works

  1. 01

    Scope and estimate

Once mitigation is complete and the structure is ready, we write a detailed room-by-room repair scope and estimate.

  2. 02

    Agreement on the work

We walk the scope with you, identify any insurer-reviewed items separately from owner-selected upgrades, and make changes visible before work begins.

  3. 03

    Schedule

You get the sequence and expected duration. Restoration rebuilds move through rough trades, insulation, drywall, paint, flooring, fixtures, and finish work in a deliberate order.

  4. 04

    Build

Our crew and regular trade partners complete the approved scope, with one company coordinating the work instead of leaving that coordination to you.

  5. 05

    Walkthrough

We walk the finished work with you, document punch-list items, and close out the project after the agreed scope has been reviewed.

05 · Insurance and upgrades

Keep covered repairs and elective changes separate

When reconstruction follows a covered property loss, the policy may pay for eligible repair or replacement work according to its terms, limits, deductible, and valuation method. Optimus does not determine what your insurer owes.

Elective upgrades are normally owner-paid. We price those separately so you can see what belongs to the restoration scope and what you are choosing to improve.
